About

The Man. The Myth. And the Process.

about-me-edit.jpg

Well hello there!

I am a Digital Designer who still occasionally enjoys packaging files for print.

I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in 2012 with a Bachelor’s in Interactive Digital Media - which is really just a fancy way of saying I create visually stunning designs that effectively communicate a company’s ideas through online and print materials.

On any given day you can find me exploring the interwebs for the latest design trends, colors and technologies that will take my designs to the next level. If you would like to learn more about my process, keep scrolling!

Branding Process

I keep my process simple. Why overcomplicate things?

People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.

01.

Discover:
If I find through my initial consultation, that we are in fact a perfect match, we’ll move on to the next phase of our exciting time working together! Through a brand intensive workshop, we’ll get clarity on who you are, who needs to know, how they’ll find you, and why they should care.

02.

Direct:
Next we’ll take everything we gathered from the workshop to create a brand roadmap. This roadmap will include your positioning, ideal client, direction on the look + feel and tone + voice, as well as a list of priorities. This will be the guiding post for your brand moving forward.

03.

Design:
See your brands personality come to life. We’ll design the brand identity system and write the hero messaging so you can turn loyal customers into raving fans. We’ll also refer you to trusted specialists to assist you in any additional deliverables uncovered in the discovery phase.

I measure what works and stop what doesn’t.

Brands aren’t static. They are living and breathing. Which means they need periodic check-ups and maintenance to ensure they are headed in the right direction. I recommend review and testing every 6-12 months. This allows for course correction where needed—to scale what works and stop what doesn’t.

Additional Projects

For smaller projects I like to immerse myself in the brand or problem. I gather inspiration from numerous websites, magazines and fellow designers and then let that inspiration ruminate for a little while. Sometimes I need to sleep on a problem and let my subconscious show me the best solution. It may sound a bit cheesy, but you can’t argue with results.

If any of this sounds like it’s something you or your brand would need, let’s grab a coffee or video chat and discuss how I can get you the results you want and need.
